Does the law in Maryland (USA) requires you to have a bell on you bicycle?
I was watching MTV-2 on television at approximately 10:15 AM EST today. The show is called Busted covering Calvert County, Maryland police (or sheriff). Pulling over a bike rider for driving wrong side of the road. Than that officer said you are require to have a bell.
It freak me out because I am grew up in Maryland. Now I lived in Florida for past 4 years.
The point is I been bike riding in Maryland for years and never had and use a bell.
I live in Prince George’s county the whole time.
People has better luck noticing me hearing my voice.
Taking one hand off handle bar to ring the bell makes it hazerdous for rider.

The law is enforced sporadically in Montgomery County, which incidentally is the same place where they outlawed Santa Claus in public places.
